Technology is constantly being updated. What appears to be a new revelation and a breakthrough invention today might not appear as exciting a few days from now.

As far as music is concerned, you will often hear people expressing their confusion over the terms MP3 and MP4. Both, for instance, are extensions for music files. Earlier it used to be MP3’s that were only available. Then MP4 extensions were developed and released. A comparison and contrast of both these formats will help you develop a clear understanding about them.

While MP3 is the acronym for MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, MP4 is the short form of MPEG4- Part IV. MP3 is believed to be the leading format for audio files. In MP3 format, an audio file is compressed so that it occupies less space. MP4 is basically a container format which is capable of storing both the audio and the video data. The MP4 format has no particular method for the coding of the audio or video information.

So, the basic difference lies in the fact that, while a MP3 file is essentially an audio file, the MP4 file can be either a video or an audio. With the MP4 format, images and even the subtitles for the video files can be stored. Thus, a wide variety of features can be accessed with the help of this format.

Devices that can play an MP3 file do not necessarily have to be able to play a MP4 file. Nor, is it true to say that all devices which can play a MP4 file can play a MP3 file. Both these formats have actually been developed by two completely different organizations at different points of time. Both these formats have contributed towards re-defining the world of media and entertainment and have together helped to increase the portability of audio and video.

Turtles are cold blooded creatures. They fall under the category of reptiles. There are basically three types of turtles, herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. Thus, before planning a meal for turtles you must know that what kind of turtle you have come across. There are many species of turtle and depending on that they have eating habits.

Map turtles thrive on meat where as River Cooters thrive on plants. While it is surprising but Malaysian Box Turtle have both plants and meat in balance. Red Eared Slider wants bugs, insects and worms.

But from the above description it is clear that turtles love natural foods. And if you want them to stay happy and fit then you must feed them with natural foods. It is important to note that you must feed your turtle with a diet that is rich in calcium. Turtles get enough of phosphorus from the food they eat. What they must have more is calcium. Some of the calcium rich foods for turtle include egg shells, plaster block etc. While you are concentrating on improving the turtle’s intake of calcium also consider vitamin D3 as the most important nutrient. This is because only with vitamin D3 there will be appropriate absorption of calcium in the body.

Do not give too much protein to your turtle or else it will pose the threat on its kidneys. High protein foods of your dog must not be shared with your turtle. If your turtle is omnivorous then you won’t have much problem in feeding it as there is whole lot of variety which you can consider. It includes boiled eggs, leafy vegetables. Slugs, snails, grape leaves, lettuce, rose, banana, borage and mangoes.

Avoid giving milk products like cheese and yogurt. Also keep it away from processed and canned foods.
